How did the project start?
This project began with permitting. As a residential contractor with CAD/design background, we have the capabilities of designing the structural plans for our deck builds as well as pulling the permits.
What were the challenges you faced?
We had to build around an existing porch slab.
How did you tackle the challenges?
We used the laser to check our elevation at each beam. This ensured the new deck board surface would be seamless with the existing porch slab.
What problem did the client want to solve with the project?
The client had a wonderful property on a lake. Their previous outdoor space was not inviting, and they wanted to spend more time enjoying their backyard.
How did you solve the problem?
We designed and built a low maintenance deck that incorporated full access below the deck for storage. They now have plenty of space above and below the deck for all of their needs.
